The Grace UCC Annual Congregational Meeting will be held immediately after church on December 4th. We’ll also have a pot luck this day, so plan to bring your favorite dish to share.
Gathering of the Women of Grace UCC
Jeanne T. organized and hosted a gathering of the Grace women at her home. Several of the Grace men who dropped off their wives also met for dinner at a local Thai restaurant. Both groups reported having a wonderful time being in community and enjoying one another. Thank you Jeanne T. for making this happen!
The Little Food Pantry #2
Grace UCC was honored to be able to join together with the Flemington Lutheran Church and the Salvation Army to add another mini-food pantry in service to our community. The pantry resides at the Salvation Army, and will be stocked and maintained by volunteers from all three faith communities.
Family Promise Transitional Housing Application Approved!
A number of GUCC members were present on October 25th at the Planning Board meeting at Stangl in Flemington. Other supporters of the Family Promise cause were also there, all wearing white shirts in solidarity and to show their support.
Housing insecurity is one of GUCC’s mission areas of priority, and as a congregation we have been long-time supporters and volunteers for Family Promise here in Hunterdon County.
We congratulate Family Promise Executive Director, Angela Fields, and her staff as they move forward with this important project, and we look forward to continuing to be enthusiastic and active supporters.
